Pedro Giomo is a Brazilian born, Czech Republic raised, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter making waves in Prague's indie scene. Pedro crafts a distinctive blend of indie rock, alt - rock and shoegaze, merging dreamy guitars and atmospheric textures with heartfelt, introspective lyrics

Jamie Wray is a Yorkshire-based indie folk singer-songwriter and skilled guitarist making music that lives in the details. His songs are rooted in acoustic writing but lean toward texture, mood, and space.

Hilden Park are a duo-fronted Indie Rock band from the North of England. The music varies from wide, almost ‘cinematic’ rock to soft and delicate guitar led tracks, with a heavy focus on creating a strong atmosphere. Their sound has been described to have the heaviness of bands like Linkin Park, Foo Fighters and Mallory Knox with the emotional content of artists such as Radiohead, Ben Howard and Foals.

Maya Blandy is an Anglo-Portuguese singer-songwriter blending soul, jazz and contemporary pop. Inspired by artists such as Sade, Dua Lipa and Bruno Mars, she combines soulful vocals, elegant songwriting and modern production with influences from both her British and Portuguese heritage. She co-wrote her debut album with producer Jake Wherry from UK hip-hop/jazz collective The Herbaliser

She's had radio support from BBC Radio 6 Music (Craig Charles & Huey Morgan), plus BBC Introducing Manchester (her home city). In Portugal, her videos have featured on MTV Portugal, and she's also had Spotify playlists on Equal Portugal and New Music Friday Portugal. In summer 2026, she delivered a new single " I Don't Need", a fierce soul-pop anthem blending powerful vocals, funk infused grooves, and polished soul/pop production.

For this HPBC Snug show, she's performing her original songs with a stripped back line up of vocals accompanied by keys and sax. Perfect for a small intimate show.

Marmalade Skyes

Support comes from Leeds alt-soul singer Marmalade Skyes. Already a well established artist on the local music scene gigging at venues such as The Domino Club, Oporto, Belgrave Music Hall and Hyde Park Book Club, she's just released a new single "Gimme Love & Gardens". She will be performing an intimate duo set of her original compositions.

To celebrate the release, the artist is hosting an inclusive launch party at the Hyde Park Book Club on August 22nd. Far from a formal exhibition, the night is designed as an open refuge for music lovers and creatives. It features a stellar lineup of local talent, including weekend at dads, NI?G, and Clea Wang. Following the success of her debut record, Clever Rabbits, produced by Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon, Laura Marling, Ray LaMontagne) and released by indie label Man Made Tigers, Ann Liu Cannon retreated into the landscape of her home county and came out the other side with a whole new sound. Ann brings brand new music to Leeds for a very special show of sincere and spooked Anglo-pop-folk, nestled in her Wicker Man-meets-Twin Peaks universe.
Thomaz Martin is celebrating the brand new release of his debut album, ‘Nostalgia For Modern Times’; also released by MMT. A session musician by trade, Martin cut his teeth and calloused his fingertips playing in Brazilian jazz ensembles across the capital. His swamp-rock debut album which came out June this year sees the Brazilian born blending Hendrix sensibilities and Cobain faux-grunge with swaggering folk-pop.

They will be performing their songs together and solo, and joined by special guests.

Emerging from the vibrant Netherlands, Lorena + The Tide is a dynamic independent band that combines an alternative rock sound with storytelling. Led by frontwoman Lorena, the band has garnered attention for its infectious melodies and relatable lyrics that resonate with a diverse audience. Lorena + The Tide will embark on another UK tour this summer, to celebrate the upcoming album "Wildfire", for which the band has written, produced and recorded all of the songs.

Chaepter is a Chicago-based post-punk / art rock band, & they are touring their new album, ‘Dragon of Shame’ across the United States and the UK/Ireland. 'Dragon of Shame' is Chapter's newest album, and perhaps their most realized collection of songs yet. Tracked to tape at Jamdek studios in Chicago, IL, ‘Dragon of Shame' captures Chapter at a point of change and friction - a band trying to find balance amongst the ever-growing instability of DIY musicianship. While the record evades easy categorization, it remains cohesive in its earnest desire to activate raw feeling and emotion.

Chain for the City are the latest pop/rock band to emerge out of the exciting indie music scene in Leeds. After playing their first show this year in Manchester's Aviva Studios, they've made their mission statement as a band - to share their catchy hooks, slick guitar work and endearing lyrics across Yorkshire and the North-West of England. Members Charlie, Nino, Ben and Ruairi borrow their musical flavours from bands such as Third Eye Blind, Mom Jeans, Slowdive and The 1975. Now, they are set to stage their first gig in Leeds at Hyde Park Book Club, and look to show off their energetic performance in an intimate space.

A drummer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, drawing heavily from their jazz roots having studied at Leeds Conservatoire, their sound blends 80s inspired synth textures, breakbeat grooves and an exploration of the present moment. 

With Ruben Maric (Plantfood) on keys and synths, the duo will showcase unreleased music including the debut self-produced single ilu released last year. This gig is to celebrate the present moment and the release of a surprise collaboration with a Californian artist.

Rowan Flack is a jazz and folk-influenced vocalist and composer whose musical path spans the BRIT School, Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and Norway's Edvard Grieg Academy, where she explored the intersection of Norwegian folk traditions and contemporary jazz. Described by Jazz FM presenter Simon Phillips as an artist "making all the right noises," her music has been praised by CLASH for "blending folk textures with the nimble technicalities of jazz, producing a sound that is bittersweet but oh-so melodic."

Following the previously released New Light Dwelling (2019), a vocalese set to Keith Jarrett's Belonging, and Forest Fires (2024), Rowan's latest EP, Nap on the Sofa, was released in February 2026 via Pretty Decent Music.

Touring the EP in July 2026, the group features established musicians from London, Bristol and Ireland: Rob Dimbleby (piano), Jack Lecomber (double bass), Andrew McCoubrey (drums) and Celeste Cantor-Stephens (trumpet)

Drawing influence from artists such as Sun Kil Moon, John Cale, The National and Daughter, Spy From Moscow (Declan Feenan) has built a reputation for evocative, quietly powerful live shows. BMX Bandits

2026 marks the fortieth anniversary of the release of BMX bandits first single E102. BMX Bandits were formed in the ex-industrial town of Bellshill by songwriter and lead vocalist Duglas T Stewart out of the ashes of The Pretty Flowers, a group that featured Stewart alongside Frances McKee (The Vaselines), Sean Dickson (The Soup Dragons) and Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub).

BMX Bandits' songs blend melodic qualities and humour with, at times, raw and heartbreaking pathos. Duglas describes their songs as being his world put to music.

Starting with the exuberant E102 in 1986 BMX Bandits released a series of singles on Stephen Pastel's 53rd & 3rd label, where they were label mates with The Vaselines and Beat Happening. In the early nineties BMX Bandits joined Creation Records, home of Teenage Fanclub, My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream and many others. The group's most celebrated song is the autobiographical Serious Drugs, recorded in 1991 but not released until 1993. The song has since been covered and released by several other acts. Fellow Creation Records’ band Oasis did their first UK tour dates supporting the Bandits as a favour to Creation label boss Alan McGee.

In 2005 Stewart split with his long term musical partner Francis Macdonald. 2006 saw a new wave of concert activity and the release of one the group’s most acclaimed albums, My Chain. Stewart's writing on the album was compared to Brian Wilson, Michel Legrand, Ennio Morricone and even Alan Bennet. A highly acclaimed feature-length documentary called Serious Drugs

Duglas and the Music of BMX Bandits was premiered in Glasgow in 2011, followed by a series of international festival screenings and a DVD release. The film featured in Sight & Sound's top films of the year list. The band were prominently featured in the 2017 documentary film Teenage Superstars, the National Museum of Scotland’s major exhibition of 2018 Rip It Up, chronicling the history of Scottish Pop and Rock, and the accompanying BBC TV series. BMX Bandits are well known for their life affirming, celebrational live shows, inspiring smiles, laughter and tears. BMX Bandits have released 12 studio albums. Their most recent album Dreamers on the Run (2024) was declared by many as their strongest yet. Classic Rock magazine said "Against the odds, BMX Bandits have finally painted their masterpiece" and Uncut Magazine described it as “"a bold and seductive exploration of symphonic pop". Duglas T Stewart remains the only permanent member of BMX Bandits, band leader and chief songwriter. Over the years notable songwriting collaborators have included his old friend Norman Blake and Sean Dickson a.k.a. Hifi Sean, David Scott (The Pearlfishers) and Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. 2026 will see the release a career spanning “Best Of” album, newly recorded material and the

programme of reissues of their back catalogue continues with their 1997 lo-fi album Duglas Stewart’s Frankenstein being released on vinyl for the first time . The line-up of the group continues to be ever changing but the heart and soul of the Bandits remains the same, an extended musical family led by the inimitable Duglas.

Initially meeting as young teenagers, frontman Adam Grealish and drummer/producer Nat Coop formed People Person in 2024, with the line-up completed by guitarist Jack Hughes and bassist Owain Sharp, connected through different projects in Manchester’s close-knit DIY scene.

The band have since been steadily building a strong reputation for their mature take on indie rock across the UK grassroots scene. Armed with a slew of tracks spanning across genres, the band draw from a healthy diet of post-punk, psychedelia, folk and indie. With an EP release upon the horizon in early summer, and a growing hype around the band, People Person are set for a big 2026.

Janata: Hailing from Leeds, Janata are inspired by progressive rock, often combining catchy guitar riffs and vocal melodies with chaotic and abrasive musical passages. Their primary influences include King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Geordie Greep, and The Smile.

Drive Bys: An alt-rock group seeking to create a new sound while blending old influences, citing inspiration such as Joy Division and Dead Kennedys to the likes of Massive Attack and IDLES.

Jim Green: A 90's inspired Indie artist characterised by big chords, unique riffs and inquisitive vocals. With hair as long as his sound is big. Leeds-based Jim Green's melodic tendencies layer every song with an unbeatable charismatic charm.

On her return as Austel, Devon-born, London-based artist Annie Rew Shaw treads a different path from the one that saw her receive widespread plaudits for the delicate, luscious piano songs of her 2024 debut album Dead Sea.

Following years as a session musician – performing at festivals such as Glastonbury and touring the UK – Austel’s 2018 debut EP earned praise from BBC 6 Music and The Line of Best Fit, with her 2020 follow-up Cold Love gaining further support from Fresh on the Net, O2 Music and BBC Introducing. In 2024, she released her debut album Dead Sea, a dreamy exploration of loss, recovery and transformation.

Now exploring the folkier intimacies of the guitar for music that’s also in conversation with the field recordings of Jon Hopkins & King Creosote, Adrianne Lenker and Cassandra Jenkins, Austel is developing a very personal sound that she still manages to make feel spacious and open.
