Isabel Maria: The Because I Care Tour

Tickets HERE

Isabel Maria’s “Because I Care” UK Tour heads to Leeds for an intimate solo show. Be amongst the first to hear her new EP live, also featuring old favourites and the stories behind Isabel’s unapologetically honest songs.
Pen in hand, ribbon in hair, 19 year old singer-songwriter Isabel Maria pairs contagious melodies and piano-driven production with ineffably personal lyricism, resulting in a sound championed by the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Rolling Stone.
Isabel’s career had humble beginnings - but fast forward a few years, and now she’s embellished her bookshelf with an North East Culture Award, an Alan Hull Award, and a Northern Writers Award, sharing her songs with hundreds of thousands of listeners and performing them across the UK, Spain, and the US.
For fans of Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift and Phoebe Bridgers, Isabel’s music is a painstaking exploration of introversion, teenage girlhood, and burnout.

Woodburner Music & DJ Lubi Present

London folk/soul singer and songwriter Ella Clayton makes her Leeds debut at Hyde Park Book Club on Friday 1st May, launching her new album "Could It Be You" (released April 2026). It's a cosy and intimate solo show in the venue's smallest room, The Snug, co-promoted by London agents Woodburner Music and local promoter DJ Lubi. Support comes from Leeds indie-folk singer Katie Alice.

Born and raised in London, Ella Clayton is a young indie-folk/soul singer and songwriter whose musical influences/reference points are Bonnie Raitt, Michael Kiwanuka, Billie Marten, Laura Marling and Jeff Buckley. She's performed live across London at prestigious venues such as The Windmill, Green Note, The Lower Third, The Waiting Room, Folklore Rooms, as well as UK festivals such as Truck Festival, Black Deer Festival, Ear Worm Festival and Latitude Festival.

She released her debut album "Murmurations" in 2022, a deeply personal collection of songs that established her as a rising voice in the UK’s indie-folk scene. The record was followed in 2023 by "Stairwell", a stripped-back acoustic EP recorded in a three-story stairwell, capturing the raw intimacy of her live sound. In April 2026, she releases her new album "Could It Be You?".

Producer Lester Duval (Pip Millet, Odd910), and Ella decided to record the backbone of the album live to capture the raw energy and connection between musicians - Ella on vocals, Lester on bass, Fabio De Oliveira on drums and percussion, and Alex Crawford on guitar. George Ezra invited  them to his studio Hotel Quebec, and in three days, the album was brought into being. Over the next few months, they expanded the record’s scope by recording strings, a male choir and layers of guitar and hammond organ, in various studios and friend’s home studio set ups across London. An ambitious release that brings together so many of Ella's musical loves (folk, soul, jazz, pop), under one roof.

Support is Leeds indie-folk singer Katie Alice. From Brighton originally but conquering Leeds in the last couple of years, she cites influences on her music such as Bess Atwell and Billie Marten, blending her unique approach with indie, folk and pop. As a live solo artist, Katie experiments with looping intricate guitar and vocal layers to create a soundscape perfectly suited to the atmosphere intended by each song. Her debut EP "As We Drift" was released in 2024, followed by the single "Stay Sane" later that year. Katie views music as a vital form of self-expression, offering a window into her world and comfort to those who resonate with her songs. Tonight, she returns to her folk roots with a solo set.

Doors 7.30pm. Support 8.00pm. Headline 9.00pm.

Doors 6.30pm - music starts 7.30pm. Contemporary folk trio Gavin Fairhall Lever play their debut Leeds gig as part of their spring tour 2026.

GAVIN FAIRHALL LEVER are a stunning explosion of colour in the wild and unruly garden of the London folk scene. A tangle of roots from Northern Ireland, Cornwall and Norfolk gives exuberant life to a truly contemporary folk music, full of thorns and flowers. The trio bring together the exhilarating, joyful tumble of Celtic trad, a melodic warmth, vibrant rhythmic invention, and the subtle expressivity of jazz harmony.

The trio have become renowned for their captivating live performances (“flawless” - FolkLondon), including at Caceres Irish Fleadh (Spain), Zilleghem Folk (Belgium), Broadstairs Folk Festival, and Celtic Connections Glasgow. Following on from the success of their debut record (“One of my top favourites of the year... Brilliant.” - RnR ****), their second album was recorded live to tape at Analogue Catalogue Studios in Northern Ireland with Julie McLarnon (Lankum, Alasdair Roberts, Brian Eno), and was released in February 2025.

With special guest Boss Caine.

Katacombs has roots across continents. With a mother from Spain and a father from Greece, Katerina was born in Miami and has called Austin home for the past decade. When she's not on tour, she divides her time between Texas and London, infusing her sound with multicultural exposure.

For the past three and a half years, she's been playing keys for Amigo the Devil, a journey that's deepened her voice as both a player and a storyteller. Though she's been playing piano since the age of four and recording from her bedroom all through her late teens, in 2022 she released her first EP, You Will Not,  and in October 2025 she stepped forward with her debut album, Fragments of the Underwater - a collection shaped by the places, people, and phases that made her who she is.

Boss Caine is the primary musical vehicle of York based Americana/Roots singer songwriter, Daniel Lucas. A man with an unforgettable gravelly baritone voice who wears his heart on his sleeve, has an arsenal of hundreds of songs, 20+ years experience, multiple releases, national radio play, and thousands of gigs all over the UK under his belt.

Lucas’s songwriting is raw, honest and very lyrical. Ranging from heartbreaking ballads to riotously amusing drinking tales as well as more serious topical/political subject matter, Boss Caine shows can be a real emotional rollercoaster veering from darkly sombre melancholia one minute to genuinely thought provoking or laugh out loud funny the next.

Defiantly independent and from punk rock roots, Lucas is unique in style, but kind of falls into the outlaw troubadour category. Often compared to the likes of Steve Earle, Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan in reviews.

“Stunning UK Talent.” - Whispering Bob Harris (BBC Radio 2)
“Great stuff!” - Arlo Guthrie
"The real deal. Sounds like sonic treacle. The Barry White of country." - Ginger Wildheart
"An incredible songwriter."
- Beans On Toast
“Mesmerising!” - RPM Online
