Rob Preston is a character and sketch comedian. He first began performing comedy at university with The Leeds Tealights with whom he took two sketch shows to the Fringe in 2018 and 2019, before he moved into solo performing in late 2021. Since then, he has been shortlisted for BBC New Comedian of the Year 2024, Pleasance Reserve 2025 and was a semi-finalist in the Leicester Square Sketch Off 2025. Em Humble

BFI Short Film Fund recipient, Em Humble is a Northern writer-director-performer celebrated for her surreal, character-led humour.

She won a 2023 BFI Short Film Fund grant for her tragicomic short Chicken Girl—a festival darling that scooped awards for Best British Short, Best Leading Performance, and Best Comedy across multiple international festivals . Her online sketches have racked up over 350 million views online, featured by Hat Trick Productions, Pulped with Bits, and BBC Radio Manchester, Cumbria, and Tees.

Em’s work spans screen, stage and sound, including voicing multiple characters in the indie game Thank Goodness You’re Here!, for which she was longlisted for the 2024 BAFTA Games Awards.

Lara Ricote

Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer Winner Lara Ricote is a Mexican-American-Venezuelan stand up comedian and writer based in Amsterdam. She won the Funny Women Stage Award in 2021 and the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer in 2022 for her debut solo show GRL/LATNX/DEF, which explores her experiences as a hard-of-hearing Latina woman.

Ricote has performed in both English and Spanish across Europe and Latin America. She has appeared on Live At The Apollo, Mel Giedroyc’s Unforgivable, Question Team, QI, Alan Davies' As Of Yet Untitled, Comedy Central Live and World’s Most Dangerous Roads. Sashi’s surname - Perera - means pear tree in Portuguese. You won’t believe how mad Portugal gets if you mention why it’s a super common name in Sri Lanka hehe.

Pear Tree is a stand up comedy show about pear shaped events between Sri Lanka and Australia. It’s about family, love, homes, knives, kids and cats - spliced with a bit of geopolitics and singing. As with her last show Boundaries (now on YouTube) Sashi’s signature observations remain dedicated to taking absolutely nothing too seriously.

Sashi is a Sri Lankan Australian comedian, writer and recovering lawyer. After working with refugee organisations around the globe, she moved to Melbourne to do her masters and fell arse backwards into comedy. She’s now one of Australia’s fastest rising comedians, known for her sharp wit, unique international tales and bizarre insights.

In 2023, she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Amy doesn’t get angry and she’s starting to feel left out, so she’s on a quest to feel fury; from what she can discern from the world around her, it appears to be all the rage… literally.

Amy is navigating the joy of her first queer relationship whilst dusting herself off from a string of several alcoholic partners. You’d think she’d have plenty to be cross about, and yet, whilst everyone seems to be more furious than ever, she just can’t seem to tap into her own anger - so she’s challenged herself to learn.

This lack of wrath may also have something to do with a processing lag that is becoming increasingly disruptive - and comical - in her life. Her emotions seemed to be delivered by carrier pigeon, if they arrive at all. 

This is a show about being Best Supporting Actor in one’s own life, queer joy, and how a potion from 2002 cursed the world.
