Slam Dunk Presents…
Mallavora are a multi-faceted quartet from Bristol, UK. Their sound blends prog-tinged alt.metal with vocalist Jessica Douek’s Jewish-Middle Eastern roots to create an intoxicatingly crushing mix that sits firmly in its complexity.
Guitarist Larry Sobieraj distills his experience of chronic illness into urgent, expansive instrumentals that are completed by bassist Ellis James and drummer Sam Brownlow. That feeling is then translated through Jessica Douek’s vocal performance, which moves fluidly between vulnerability and aggression. Together, they create something that feels less like performance and more like dialogue - an ongoing exchange of emotion that doesn’t always seek to be understood.
Recent achievements include festival appearances at Download, Boomtown and 2000 Trees (mainstage); Alyx Holcombe’s Track of the Week on BBC Radio 1; Spotify editorial playlisting on All New Metal, Women Of Metal, The Pit, Hard Rock; tastemaker press support from Kerrang! and Metal Hammer; and tours across the UK.
They have also appeared in less conventional places. Vocalist Jessica lent her voice as the ‘banshee’ for the BBC’s TV show ‘The Celebrity Traitors’, and their single “Smile” was the soundtrack for a runway show at London Fashion Week.

The Rootikal Expression Session comes in with the first event after the summer, bringing some musical artists to the mix, alongside the resident selectas coming together on Impressa Soundsystem.
Impressa, Sis Star Selecta and Being One are returning to the Hyde Park Book Club for the third event of 2026.
The musical artist for this one is James Krusz, who will bring some smooth sax lines and jazzy licks with a reggae soul. He picked up the sax 17 years ago and spent his teenage years playing in classical wind orchestras at venues such as the Royal Albert hall. It was in his twenties that he was drawn to the free and expressive nature of jazz and improvisation, starting to use music as a tool of self-expression and self-development. His musical journey then sent him towards sound system culture after attending an Impressa sound system event. Over the past couple of years he was been sharing his live sounds at dub sessions, performing in bands and recording for local artists.

Lunchtime Heroes headline, a neo-soul four piece from London built on warm, vocal led grooves. Daisy Dalby is a Leeds singer-songwriter who pairs intimate lyrics with acoustic led melodies and raw vocals, and who headlined here herself earlier this year. Elefem is romantic, northern and introspective, blending R&B and soul with a modern edge. Opening the night is MAAME & The Midnights, an independent Leeds artist working across pop, soul, R&B and ballads.

Imagine this: you’re standing at the train tracks and a freight train loaded with a bunch of cheeky daredevils comes at you full throttle. Someone’s half hanging out the open carriage, reaching out an arm for you to hold on to - inviting you to hop on for the ride of your life. That’s what it feels like to be thrown into the sonic world of PLAIINS.
Founded during the pandemic that held the globe in a standstill by frontman Chris, the Brit and his two German bandmates create a moving sound that’s informed by their deep love for alternative, punk and indie. Naturally, their 2025 debut album HAPPY FACES is full of playful riffs and dancey grooves - paired with witty lyrics that manage to talk about social issues and all-too human struggles without ever taking themselves too seriously.
Inspiration for the trio comes from bands like Queens Of The Stone Age, IDLES, Viagra Boys and Fontaines D.C., but also from personal life, politics and pop culture. On lead single ROW SHE SAID, for example, singer Chris draws from his experience with the aftermath of Brexit and the rise of right-wing, nationalist politics both in his home country, the UK, and in his adopted home Germany. Set to the background of heavy hitting, hard riffs and driving verses, this is an example of the more serious moments on the album. It shows a band that believes in the importance of taking a clear stance.
Contrasting, the playfully teasing SPORTS BAR pokes light-hearted fun at long nights watching football games at the local pubs, a tradition that is ever-present both in the UK and Germany. The shout-along chorus with a groove reminiscing of The Hives at their greatest puts you right there, arm over shoulder with your best mates, shouting at the TV hung above the bar.
PLAIINS is not a band that limits itself to any one genre or topic. Still, their sonic identity is clear cut and recognisable. Even though they just released their debut album, they already made a name for themselves as one of the most exciting up-and-coming bands. Not least because of their ferocious power-washer of a live show that leaves no body unmoved, whether at their headline shows or on tour with Press Club, LEAP or Itchy.

Anti Camera is the experimental trip hop, post-punk electronic project exploring expression and glamour on stage. On stage they sing about real life experiences, addiction and past lovers. With a new EP “I Love Hotel” on the way Anti Camera is one of the most exciting projects coming out of the London scene right no.
Stuart Mckenzie is the solo performance artist, poet, illustrator etc. Stuart Mckenzie sings confessionals of life in 1980s and early 90’s over electronic sample beats reminiscent of runway tracks. Mckenzie glimpses into the fashion industry of the time and teenage life in the North of England, where sexualities are challenged and identities forged amongst excursions into club culture, as a means of escape.
Freyja Blevins current member of loud electro noise rock band Bathing Suits, comes to the stage alone with only but her drum machine, singing to indescript noises and deconstructed resampled jazz beats reminiscent of an old tape recording from a far away smokey city.

The Primitives emerged from the UK independent music scene of the mid-1980s with a sound that distilled the shimmering guitar chime of The Byrds, the buzzsaw style of The Ramones and 60's girl group melodies into two-and-a-half-minute pop gems.
After topping the indie singles chart several times, their widely acclaimed first album, Lovely, made them one of the UK’s most revered alternative rock acts, while the international success of the single “Crash” saw them cross over to a mass audience. Further chart success followed, along with two more studio albums, Pure and Galore, plus extensive tours of Europe and the US, before the band called it a day in 1992.
In 2008, Mojo Magazine named The Primitives’ second single “Really Stupid” one of the top 40 greatest UK indie singles of all time.
The band were reunited in 2009 by the untimely passing of their original bass player Steve Dullaghan, reforming to play a show in his memory later that year in their hometown Coventry; their first time on stage together for 17 years. Bolstered by the success of this and of a secret show in London, they went on to tour the UK in April 2010, followed by shows in the US and Europe.
In 2011 The Primitives released the Never Kill A Secret EP through Fortuna Pop! The record featured two brand new songs and two covers of female fronted pop obscurities, the latter two being a taster for the covers album Echoes and Rhymes, released on Elefant records in 2012.
An album of new original Primitives songs entitled Spin-O-Rama was released in 2014 and was showered with lavish praise; the general opinion being that it sounded like an alternative follow-up to their classic 1988 debut album Lovely.
In 2025 Elefant Records put out the double vinyl collection Let’s Go Round Again - Second Wave Singles & Rarities 2011 - 2025, featuring new material along with all of the A sides, B sides and miscellaneous tracks that the band have released over the past 14 years.
Since reforming The Primitives have toured the UK multiple times, performed all around Europe and paid several visits to the US and Japan.
The current line-up of the band includes original members Tracy Tracy (vocals), Paul Court (guitar/vocals) and Tig Williams (drums).

Aziz Ibrahim is a Manchester-born guitarist and composer whose career cuts through some of the most iconic names in British music. From his early days with Simply Red to stepping into the shoes of John Squire in The Stone Roses, Aziz has built a reputation as a fearless and versatile musician.
A sought-after collaborator, he has worked with Ian Brown, Paul Weller, Asia, Steve Hogarth of Marillion, and Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, contributing to acclaimed recordings and electrifying live performances.
Now, 25 years after it was first recorded, his long-lost debut album Lahore to Longsight finally sees the light of day. Featuring an all-star lineup including members of The Smiths, The Stone Roses and Primal Scream, the album stands as a powerful statement of Aziz's artistry as both a guitarist and frontman.
Released as a limited-edition double vinyl for Record Store Day 2026 and backed by a full UK tour, 2026 marks the long-overdue arrival of one of Manchester's most compelling musical voices.
The Invention
Leeds band The Invention made their way in the 00s music scene gigging in the north and London extensively, leading to a debut album release through Japanese label Vinyl Junkie, and then a tour in Japan in 2007. ‘Voltage’ from that album also won Radio X track of the week.
After a long hiatus, the 4 piece recently recorded and released a new album of euphoric anthems in 2025. Musically somewhere between The Verve and The Killers, ‘Tomorrow Took Everything’ was released on Spotify and limited edition vinyl available in select independent record stores from Leeds to Los Angeles.

The queer vegan shitpunks, Joe & The Shitboys, formed with the intention of calling out shitty behaviour in the conservative Faroe Islands, where the rock scene is filled with boneless homophobes and meat-eating misogynists - and continue to take their aim at general vibe killers everywhere.
The live shows are full of energy, with a barrage of songs often under a minute long, like “Save The Planet You Dumb Shit”, "Life Is Great You Suck" and “If You Believe in Eating Meat Start With Your Dog”, being broken up by the flamboyant frontman roasting the audience relentlessly.
The band (Joe, Ziggy Shit, Johnny Shit and Ollie Shit) have played every type of venue there is; roof tops, public toilets, opening ceremonies for North Atlantic sub sea tunnels, museums and skateparks, and have also appeared on their fair share of major festival line ups around Europe and North America.
To date the band have released three albums, ‘The Reson For Hardcore Vibes’, ‘The Reson For Hardcore Vibes Again’, and ‘The Reson For Hardcore Vibes III’ - all receiving critical acclaim despite their modest and unconventional (aka punk) 10 minute total run time.
Among their numerous and vocal champions, Iggy Pop has recently hailed Joe & The Shitboys as the most exciting band in the world right now - and he’s not just talking. After using the band’s new single ‘MR. NOBODY’ as his walk-out music for a number of shows, he’s now invited them to join his 2025 UK tour, including a massive show at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace. As a long-standing advocate for the band, Iggy has played their output extensively on his BBC Radio 6 Music show, but his support goes even further. In his NME cover feature, he revealed that he played their music to Blink-182’s Travis Barker before he laid down the drums for album track ‘Neo Punk’ and even shared his admiration for the band with none other than Rick Rubin on the Broken Record podcast.

Pixie McCann makes ethereal “weird music for weird girls,” pairing haunting vocals with intricate live-looped performances that have built a deeply engaged online following and millions of likes across her socials.
She started busking when she was just 11 years old and her immersive live shows have quickly translated online momentum into real-world demand, earning her a support slot with Erin LeCount on her UK tour alongside slots at The Great Escape, Truck, Latitude and Boardmasters this year.
A devoted fanbase drawn to her otherworldly sound and intimate, whimsical world-building congregates in ‘Pixie Hollow’, a Discord community of over 840 superfans who join regular Zoom and in-person meetups and even share in her creative process through a collaborative Pinterest board.
Having written, produced and managed herself up until now, her next release Deja Vu sees her elevate her sound with additional production from Joel Pott (London Grammar, Shura, Joy Crookes, George Ezra). The track came from a recording Pixie took on her walk home after a night out at 5am, capturing birds and passing cars, which she built the song around in a couple of hours.

Kelley Stoltz is an American songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and DIY innovator whose career stretches back to the late 1990s, when he began self-recording lush, psych-tinged pop and garage rock in his San Francisco home studio. Born in New York City in 1971, and raised in Michigan, Stoltz has released a remarkable catalog of albums on labels including Sub Pop, Third Man, and Castle Face Records often playing all of the instruments himself and drawing comparisons to the melodic craftsmanship of the major 60's pop auteurs and the quirkiness of lesser known 80's power-pop & new wave.
After issuing his 18th album, La Fleur in 2024 to critical notice, he returns in 2026 with his 19th full-length release, If You Don't Know Me, Buy Now, a collection that continues his long exploration of hook-laden psych-pop, introspective lyrics, and richly textured arrangements that both honor his influences and push his sound forward, reinforcing his status as one of the most prolific and singular voices in underground rock. Guests Brigid Dawson of the Osees, Karina Denike of Dance Hall Crashers, Pete Straus of the Dwarves and Allyson Baker of Dirty Ghosts and other guests provide backing vocals on several tracks.

With Iguana Death Cult’s latest iteration, the band laments on personal stories of hardship and doubt whilst fixing their gaze on the burning world around them. Guitars, percussion, synths and a whole lot of soul-searching is all that Iguana Death Cult needed for their recent resurrection. As part of a personnel change the band gained a strong new line-up, including the dazzlingly virtuous drummer Uri Rennert (previously in Häxxan and Brian Jonestown Massacre). This new era of Iguana Death Cult’s existence is channeling their earlier punk and garage style while simutanously feeling unmistakeably like a product of today. It is characterised by razorsharp and highly rythmic riffing by Tobias Opschoor and the relentless drumming by Uri Rennert. By the ever-groovy and effortlessly cool percussion and synths by Jimmy de Kok and by the hefty yet heartfelt voice of frontman Jeroen Reek, guiding the listener through feelings of despair, anger and solace, in that very order. Iguana Death Cult is a band who have made quite the miles in the last decade. Started as a group of young friends in 2014 wanting to make rock ‘n roll, the band has risen to great heights including touring with Osees, Frankie and the Witchfingers, supporting Jack White, playing SXSW, Levitation Festival and Desert Daze and doing multiple successful US tours. On their new record Guns Out, released via Greenway Records, Iguana Death Cult is excersing self-reflection on multiple levels: by breaking with the more indie-like, art-punk-funk sound of their previous album (Echo Palace, released through Innovative Leisure in 2023), returning to a more ‘in your face’ punchy garage rock style. Secondly, by confronting a behaviour of escapism, and the toll that way of living takes on the self. And finally by ways of questioning their ways of writing music, returning to a faster, more spontaneous process. Guns Out is an album that’s tough and rigid on the outside but soft and contemplative on the inside. Moreover, it is the story of a band coming to terms with their own existence in the world they live in.

Paul Marshall returns to the stage for a rare live performance-his first in over a decade-celebrating 20 years since the release of his debut album Vultures. Performing under his own name rather than the Lone Wolf moniker he retired in 2016, this special show will span songs from across his career, including material written as Lone Wolf.
A former Bella Union artist, Marshall earned a reputation for his atmospheric songwriting and distinctive voice, becoming a quietly influential presence in the UK's alternative scene. Over the years, he has shared stages with artists such as José González, Graham Coxon, Philip Selway, St. Vincent, Wild Beasts, and Bat for Lashes, and collaborated with the likes of Alan Wilder (Depeche Mode) and Linton Kwesi Johnson.
Support comes from fellow Leeds musician Fran Rodgers.
Blending delicate melodies with lyrical depth and an incredible voice, she brings a compelling presence that makes her a fitting addition to the evening.

Modern Woman, the London art-rock outfit fronted by primary songwriter Sophie Harris, are set to release their anticipated debut album ‘Johnny’s Dreamworld’ on May 1st 2026 via their new label One Little Independent Records. ‘Johnny’s Dreamworld’ represents the culmination of Modern Woman’s journey from Harris’s early, intimate songwriting project into a full-bodied band capable of folding post-punk, avant-garde, and folk traditions into a live force of dynamic originality. At its heart, the record explores the strange poetry buried within the ordinary. Harris’s lyrics, steeped in literary detail and filmic atmosphere, draw from a fascination with the dark underbelly of the everyday and the contradictions of womanhood.
Harris explains, “A vital theme I’ve always wanted in Modern Woman is the idea of conflicting things, of the tender/harsh, loud/quiet and scrappy/polished. The style of everybody’s playing, drawing from a melting pot of influences, coming together to form something new.”
Modern Woman’s sound emerged from years of creative refinement. The band coalesced when Harris met violinist and composer David Denyer, who brought a background in experimental composition and textural sound work. Joined by Juan Brint-Gutiérrez on bass and saxophone and Adam Blackhurst on drums, the group forged a style that values the contrasting harsh edges of folk lyricism and noise that collides with melody. Just when Sean Solomon thought he was out, they pulled him back in. The songwriter had stepped away from the mic, making the difficult decision with his bandmates to put his Sub Pop-signed band Moaning on indefinite hiatus and recalibrate. He poured himself into animation — an obsession and dream job that quickly became a reality. He made music videos for Run The Jewels and Unknown Mortal Orchestra and CHAI and Odd Future. He was living a dream, but it was only part of the dream. He still heard chords when he went to bed, ached for the feeling that artists like Elliott Smith, The Microphones, and Neutral Milk Hotel gave him.
The itch returned, so he started writing again during the pandemic. He couldn’t imagine a life without songwriting, but he pursued it free from the expectations that come alongside a career in the industry. It allowed him to make music that felt closer to his ideal self than ever before. “That's when it clicked and I started making this kind of music where I didn’t give a shit what anyone thinks.”
One of the songs he recorded with producer Jarvis Taveniere (Whitney, Purple Mountains, Waxahatchee), was a track called “Car Crash.” It was inspired by his unwillingness to drive, despite being from Los Angeles — facing his fears and learning how to navigate an automobile, then getting in a horrifying wreck that was completely his fault.
After writing and recording, Solomon was restless enough to simply drop a live performance video online without fanfare. His entire life changed. Almost immediately after being released, the song had found a massive audience; his audience. The simple guitar melody and raw, in your face vocal performance resonated with people everywhere. “Life is chaos, love is pain,” Solomon sings. The chorus, which features Shannon Lay, is short but packs a mighty punch. “I think people are reacting to the sincerity and honesty. I’m just being myself,” Solomon speculates. Everything is algorithmically curated, and “Car Crash” feels like the exact opposite — a spur of the moment flash of brilliance. It’s vulnerable and you can hear the feelings Solomon works through as he sings. It’s a splash of cold water on a hot day.
It’s a tale so morally-driven that it belongs in a self-help book. “Follow your dreams, honor your vision, and good shit happens.” More like, work your ass off for a decade honing the voice you’ve always heard in your head, follow the light that keeps you up at night. Then, just maybe, you might find your fan base. That fan base might be 10 hardcore devotees, or millions of views across social media.
As for “Car Crash,” Sean had no idea it would resonate with people the way it has. “Kids were covering the song before it was even released. It’s so touching. It’s amazing,” he marvels, before hedging his bets: “This was all a surprise. I'll take what I can get.”

Pinpointing the specific catalyst for an avalanche can be slippery — any combination of classic elements, human interference, or freak accident can trigger disaster — and documenting these precise moments often rests on serendipitous reflexes. On Two Wheels Move the Soul, Robber Robber offer themselves as ignition and capture every sound in the wake. Involuntarily thrust into the throws of rootless nomadism, Robber Robber ringleader Nina Cates collects a series of pressurized vignettes to assemble the Burlington quartet’s thrillingly explosive sophomore album.
Two Wheels Move the Soul was written and recorded throughout the winter of 2024 and 2025, a season of Cates’ life characterized by near-constant upheaval. In January of 2025, Cates (and Robber Robber co-founder) Zack James were displaced from their longtime home at the behest of a landlord’s call to have their building demolished. In a moment’s notice — and amidst a particularly brutal Vermont winter — Cates and James were left to fend for themselves. Luckily, the two were able to tap a deep well of support within their community, finding respite on the couches of Lily Seabird, Greg Freeman, and Thus Love’s Echo Mars. An unused attic provided their longest arrangement.
The personal and economic chaos of living at the mercy of nameless powers-that-be redirected into a hyperfocused attention on Two Wheels Move the Soul. Returning to Little Jamaica Studios — one of the sites for their acclaimed debut Wild Guess — Cates, James, guitarist Will Krulak and bassist Carney Hemler hunkered down with their trusted engineer Benny Yurco. The familiarity between the cast of characters allowed the studio to become a sanctuary, and foregrounded Two Wheels Move The Soul’s constant foray into sonically adventurous terrain. “Everywhere else that we had to be, we were very much visitors,” James recalls. “When we were working on the record, it was nice because it felt like this is our space.” Still, an overwhelming sense of impending doom hangs over Two Wheels Move the Soul. Every scribble on the guitar thins the air, each stab of percussion and wave of distortion makes it that much harder to breathe.
On Two Wheels Move the Soul, landslides come early and the news of their arrival is just as chilly. Propelled by Cates’ nonchalant bars — inspired by the effortlessly-cool cadence of Gucci Mane and Lou Reed — Two Wheels Move the Soul saunters in and out of frame with the implicit assurance that any gaze will follow. Album opener and lead single “The Sound It Made” rattles into existence, eschewing exposition to plunge directly in the deep end. The polarized extremities of Robber Robber’s sonic palette fuse throughout Two Wheels Move the Soul, spanning post-punk scorchers, burnt-out slacker anthems, and melodies that sweeten the bitter pills stomached along the way. “Yes I know, gotta work for my pay,” Cates exhales on standout “New Year’s Eve,” a swaggering depiction of life’s myriad impediments. “I’m tired, so is everyone - how can I complain?” Cates wastes no time indulging in the miseries of late-stage capitalism, opting instead to resolve casual disappointment with a cool composure. “What more is there to do?,” Cates asks on “Pieces,” the slow-burning b-side intro that plainly lays out what happens when your life falls apart: “you’ll end up with a piece.”
Working through the discomfort of class, upheaval, and catastrophe is a central philosophy on Two Wheels Move the Soul. “You can leave it, but it follows you home,” Cates buries beneath incendiary bursts on “It’s Perfect Out Here in the Sun.” Easy to miss, it is a possible catalyst nonetheless. In the midst of the avalanche itself, the sparks ignited throughout Two Wheels Move the Soul fall by the wayside, and all that’s left is the wreck. “Upend, upend,” Cates intones atop kinetic and relentless instrumentation. Then the pressure cracks again. “So we dance.”

The Soup Dragons formed in Bellshill in 1985. They signed to Bristol-based label The Subway Organization in 1986 and released their breakthrough hit Whole Wide World soon after, the track reached No. 2 on the UK Independent Chart. The band then signed to label Raw TV and had further chart success before releasing their debut This Is Our Art in 1988. In 1990 they released their biggest UK hit, a cover of I'm Free by the Rolling Stones. They then released Divine Thing which became their biggest US hit.
The band split up in 1995, with all members going on to other ventures. Sean formed The High Fidelity then became DJ HiFi Sean, Paul Quinn joined Teenage Fanclub, Sushil K. Dade formed Future Pilot A.K.A and has had a career as a producer for BBC Radio 3, Jim McCulloch joined Superstar among other musical projects and Ross Sinclair has had a successful career as an artist, writer and musician, he is a professor at Glasgow School of Art.

Or Sobre Blau is the duo of Andreu G. Serra (aka Ubaldo) and Kiran Leonard. In 2017, having moved to Lisbon within a couple of weeks of each other by chance, they began to improvise on the guitar together, quickly developing a fragmentary style that drew on their distinct yet complementary approaches to their instrument: Serra's rasping, wildly idiosyncratic lead lines spilling over looping beds of tape manipulation and ebow, and Leonard's contrastingly traditional, no-pedals counterpoint and hyperactive melodies. These early encounters were documented on “the Piri Piri Samplers”, first released on cassette by Memorials of Distinction in 2019 and reissued by STROOM in 2024.
Some years later, they decided to make a new record: the resulting "Making Friends" (STROOM, 2026), a huge leap forward in ambition and focus, sees the duo writing songs together for the first time, adding several new instruments (cittern, winds, drums, bells, harmonica, samplers, etc), and often singing in their native Catalan and English simultaneously. Darting between misshapen free blues, chamber folk, blasted-out drone feedback, and whatever the two can throw at each other or find lying in between, "Making Friends" is a reflection on a decade of friendship, and a vivid document of an eclectic, sometimes chaotic, and inspired musical dialogue.

Somehow, 2024 saw the 30th anniversary of the birth of Glasgow, Scotland’s Disco/Punk legends bis. 2025 sees them move in their fourth decade of a rollercoaster existence. A whirlwind first 18 months saw them go from playing to a handful of curious future fans in Glasgow basements to peak-time TV stardom on Top of the Pops and filling huge tents at festivals across Europe all while still teenagers. While the UK media was in equal parts enamoured and horrified by the unorthodox musical DNA of the band, their knack for a nagging melody, unrelenting energy and wide-eyed politics saw them hit big in Japan, nearly breakthrough in America where they had label support from the Beastie Boys and touring with a diverse range of acts reflecting the disparate range of influences the band had – Foo Fighters, The Cardigans, Bikini Kill and Pavement to name but a few. Whilst perhaps best known for early Riot-Grrrl influenced hit ‘Kandy Pop’ or the later slick Techno-Pop of ‘Eurodisco’, the band are also known worldwide as creators of the original theme to ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ cartoon and for the appearance of ‘Statement of Intent’ on the soundtrack to the ‘Jet Set Future’ videogame.
After 3 albums and countless singles, the band temporarily called it a day in 2003, frustrated by record label struggles. They would reunite occasionally (an Islington Academy sellout in 2007 and a triumphant Primavera in 2012 amongst others) but returned with renewed vigour in 2019 with the ‘Slight Disconnects’ album and again in 2022 with the Rave-influenced ‘Systems Music For Home Defence’.
As part of the 30 year anniversary celebrations, the band performed a stand-out sell-out show at Glasgow’s iconic St Luke’s which gathered fans from around the globe as well as respect contemporaries like Mogwai and Franz Ferdinand. With their reputation as a must-see live band gathering pace even now, upcoming shows in 2025 will provide a real treat for hardcore fans and newcomers alike.”

The four-piece band—Nick Mateyunas, Austin Jones, Patrick Helrigel, and Brooke Tuozzo—have naturally evolved across a series of independent releases, including the live album Attic Sessions [2022], the Beach Plum EP [2023], and their first full-length offering The Pit [2025]. Emerging as a force of nature on stage, the group impressively sold out their 2025 North American headline run, The Pit Tour Pt. 1, graced the bills of festivals including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands, and even shut down Los Angeles’s Venice Boardwalk with a pop-up show in front of 1k-plus fans. At this year’s Out of the Blue Festival, they hit the stage with Noah Kahan, Mumford, and Caamp—appearing four times in total throughout the day. Between launching The Pit Tour Pt. 2 in the United States and preparing for major festivals, including Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Borderland, Highwater, Rolling Stone’s Stateside Festival, Austin City Limits, and more, the band now makes their Atlantic Records debut with the release of “one'n a million” and more to come.

The Frank and Walters’ Paul Linehan is one of Ireland’s most talented and inspirational singer / songwriters.
The band originally became world famous on the ‘90s indie scene and have produced seven studio albums. Paul has lost none of his talent or motivation to produce fantastically crafted and catchy indie songs and continues to write new material to this day. The band also achieved a life-long ambition when they played with a full orchestra at the Cork Opera House.
Recently the band captured a whole new audience when their ‘90’s hit single ‘After All’ featured on the cult comedy show ‘The Young Offenders’ (the infamous ‘Billy Murphy’ bus hijack scene). And as well as being able to recall stories of Radiohead and Suede supporting the Frank and Walters on early tours, their recent single featured Peaky Blinders Cillian Murphy doing a voiceover on the track ‘Stages’.

Originally from Birmingham and now based in London, John Myrtle makes warm, off-kilter guitar pop full of jangling melodies, homemade charm and gentle psych-pop detours. Emerging in 2019 with self-recorded demos and the EP Here’s John Myrtle, he quickly caught the ear of Marc Riley at BBC 6 Music, leading to a live session and praise from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, Brooklyn Vegan, DIY and So Young Magazine.
Since then, John has built a beautifully odd little world of his own through 2021’s Myrtle Soup, the Jonathan Rado-produced single How Do You Break a Heart?, and his latest album The Little World of You and Me - intimate, heartfelt pop that feels lovingly out of step with the modern world.

Brudenell Presents…
Molded in the fertile rock crescent of Columbus, Ohio, three-piece Golomb (rhymes with Column) channel Midwest friction into an album that seeks to find a genuine connection. The band boasts not one, but two bonded dynamics, something of an aberration among most trios. Siblings Xenia (bass) and Hawken (drums) tie down the rhythm section with songwriter/guitarist Mickey Shuman and Xenia turning their tags to spouse after years of dating. The close bonds between the members have fed into the band’s process — family and friends first and band second, leveraging years of trust to turn The Beat Goes On into an album that never wavers in its sincerity.
Bounding through bluster like Loop one minute and hunkered down like Pixies pummeling pop’s soft spots at Fort Apache the next. The underlying buzz on “Real Power” dips a few miles south of Columbus to channel Dayton’s favorite sons, stitching together some clear-eyed clamor from the GBV playbook. The band lays it bare on “Dog” with a slow slink that builds toward the singed elegance of Spiritualized and a lyrical labyrinth that’s cut and pasted into a Burroughs-esque blur of rock motifs. The song peaks in pure maelstrom with a glorious glut of feedback foaming out of the speakers. The familiar specter of The Velvets rears its head in the shambolic beat of the title track, and “Other Side Of The Earth” gets gooey with dub, but never loses the band’s ability to feed the fray. Then, they wind guitar around their rhythms with the grace of early Built To Spill on “Be Here Now,” letting the sax twirls of Henry Ross send the song into the ether.
Golomb was formed in 2019 by Mickey and Xenia. The couple briefly moved out of Ohio, before coming back in 2020 and settling into Xenia’s folks house. Hawken joined the fold and the trio began a working relationship with engineer Keith Hanlon, capping off a series of self-released recordings with the 3-song Love EP in 2024. Hanlon is behind the board for The Beat Goes On, recorded at Musicol and Secret Studio in Columbus, showcasing a bigger, bolder dynamic that captured the band’s live energy to tape. The album was then mixed by Drew Vandenberg at Chase Park Transductions in Athens, Georgia.

LYDIA LUNCH - the iconic musician, writer, photographer and performance artist. First appearing in the New York scene in 1977 as a founding member of Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, she is a central instigator of the No Wave movement. Across her almost 50 year career she has collaborated with artists like Sonic Youth, Nick Cave, Rowland S. Howard and Brian Eno, and is a continuing influence on today's underground scene.
She returns to Leeds on July 10th with french experimental artist Marc Hurtado as they perform the music of pioneering electronic proto-punk duo SUICIDE.
