Leeds-based alto saxophonist and composer Nathaniel Taberner returns to Hyde Park Book Club to launch his debut EP “Found”. This ensemble carves out a bold and expressive space at the intersection of jazz tradition and modern experimentation, creating a distinctive sound that blends straight-ahead jazz with contemporary post-bop, hip-hop and art rock influences.

Nathaniel’s compositional approach is defined by emotionally poignant melodies, intricate harmony and driving grooves. Through an ever-evolving musical conversation, the band explore themes of deep introspection, vulnerability and finding comfort and strength


The quintetʼs distinctive sound, rich storytelling and commitment to creative evolution have been rapidly gaining attention within the UK jazz scene. The band have shared stages with artists such as Ivo Neame, Matters Unknown (Nubiyan Twist), and NTBM, and have featured at Leeds Jazz Festival.

Brudenell Presents...

Melanie Baker makes music about everything that hurts and everything that feels just right. Based in Newcastle (UK), she writes with unflinching honesty — songs that sway between noisy catharsis and quiet confession, between absurd humour and deep vulnerability. With pounding drums, fuzzy guitars, and tender lyrical precision, Baker reclaims the grit and spirit of ’90s alt-rock through a queer, modern lens.

Her world is a blend of chaos and compassion, where anxiety, anger, love and laughter coexist in equal measure. She builds her songs like comic-book panels of emotional truth: hearts pumping out of chests, steam whistling from collars, cartoon melancholy meeting genuine tenderness. Her music invites the listener to cry, laugh, and scream along — sometimes all at once.

Much of this universe — on stage, on the road, and at home — is seen through the lens of photographer and partner Ellen Dixon, who documents their life together in intimate, analog snapshots. The result is an ongoing portrait of a queer artist coming of age in the north of England: a scrapbook of van rides, small venues, backstage nerves, and private joy.

Live, Baker’s performances blur the line between theatre and therapy. Alongside drummer Adam Robson and multi-instrumentalist Jon Evans, she cracks jokes mid-breakdown, turns self-deprecation into community, and transforms unease into something radiant. What begins as personal confession often erupts into a roomful of strangers yelling the same truth at once.

Her work has been championed across BBC Radio 1, 2, and 6 Music, and her song “Double Decker Death Machine” featured on BBC TV’s Waterloo Road. But acclaim has never been the point. Baker’s art thrives in the messy, glorious space between pain and play — finding humour in heartbreak and hope in absurdity.

Impressa Sound has been running regular soundsystem events at the Nia Centre in Manchester, and brings great energy and vibrations where ever she goes.

Being One is a selecta who has played in many countries and festivals and multi instrumentalist, who you can find jamming on the Rootsyard Radio Studio for the Musical Monday Show every week, working through 8 different instruments.

Good Flying Birds is a jangly, noisy guitar-pop group from the Midwest, USA. The project began in December 2023 with a string of 4-track cassette recordings and stop-motion videos uploaded to YouTube under the name “Talulah God,” accompanied by a chaotic, GIF-filled website. Over the next few months, songs were uploaded regularly, eventually catching the attention of influential punk and DIY label head Martin Meyer.

In January 2025, Talulah’s Tape was released on Rotten Apple, compiling home recordings from 2020–2024. It showcased a wide-ranging love for independent guitar music, clever songwriting, and a charmingly scrappy, twee-punk aesthetic. The release found immediate underground acclaim, earning radio play and selling 300 cassettes in under a month.

Riding the momentum and building a reputation as a dynamic live act, the group attracted significant label interest, ultimately signing with Carpark and Smoking Room. Together, the labels re-released Talulah’s Tape on vinyl and streaming in October 2025. It has since seen glowing reviews from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Paste, Bandcamp, and landed in numerous "Best of 2025" lists.

Their sound nods to lo-fi icons like Guided By Voices, Beat Happening, DLIMC, Talulah Gosh, and The Vaselines, but carries a singular, earnest charm. It’s the sound of wide-eyed optimism in a cracked world—rosy cheeks, a tambourine in hand, and guitars ringing in all directions.

Underground World is a bold, conceptual music showcase blending Rock n Roll, Jazz and EDM. The concert is fronted by Jerry Liu, an emerging singer, producer and actor. Jerry is known for his powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence. Notably, he made history as the only Chinese vocalist invited to open for JazzLeeds. He has dropped two solo albums, I am Jerry Liu and Airy-Fairy, alongside many headline concerts.

For this energetic show, Jerry is backed by support vocalists YuanTong Lin and JiangNing, and a professional dance crew. Known for their rich live performance experience spanning major university galas and UK gigs, these artists bring a multifaceted synergy to the stage.

The showcase delivers a thrilling audio-visual story across four dark chapters: Dark Premiere, Cyber Void, Wild Block, and Doom Genesis. The setlist features massive global hits, flipping tracks like Fuck Up the World (LISA), Oops!... I Did It Again (Britney Spears), I Love Rock 'n' Roll (Joan Jett), and Unholy (Sam Smith).

LYDIA LUNCH - the iconic musician, writer, photographer and performance artist. First appearing in the New York scene in 1977 as a founding member of Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, she is a central instigator of the No Wave movement. Across her almost 50 year career she has collaborated with artists like Sonic Youth, Nick Cave, Rowland S. Howard and Brian Eno, and is a continuing influence on today's underground scene.

She returns to Leeds on July 10th with french experimental artist Marc Hurtado as they perform the music of pioneering electronic proto-punk duo SUICIDE.

Brudenell Presents…

Molded in the fertile rock crescent of Columbus, Ohio, three-piece Golomb (rhymes with Column) channel Midwest friction into an album that seeks to find a genuine connection. The band boasts not one, but two bonded dynamics, something of an aberration among most trios. Siblings Xenia (bass) and Hawken (drums) tie down the rhythm section with songwriter/guitarist Mickey Shuman and Xenia turning their tags to spouse after years of dating. The close bonds between the members have fed into the band’s process — family and friends first and band second, leveraging years of trust to turn The Beat Goes On into an album that never wavers in its sincerity.
 
Bounding through bluster like Loop one minute and hunkered down like Pixies pummeling pop’s soft spots at Fort Apache the next. The underlying buzz on “Real Power” dips a few miles south of Columbus to channel Dayton’s favorite sons, stitching together some clear-eyed clamor from the GBV playbook. The band lays it bare on “Dog” with a slow slink that builds toward the singed elegance of Spiritualized and a lyrical labyrinth that’s cut and pasted into a Burroughs-esque blur of rock motifs. The song peaks in pure maelstrom with a glorious glut of feedback foaming out of the speakers. The familiar specter of The Velvets rears its head in the shambolic beat of the title track, and “Other Side Of The Earth” gets gooey with dub, but never loses the band’s ability to feed the fray. Then, they wind guitar around their rhythms with the grace of early Built To Spill on “Be Here Now,” letting the sax twirls of Henry Ross send the song into the ether.
 
 
Golomb was formed in 2019 by Mickey and Xenia. The couple briefly moved out of Ohio, before coming back in 2020 and settling into Xenia’s folks house. Hawken joined the fold and the trio began a working relationship with engineer Keith Hanlon, capping off a series of self-released recordings with the 3-song Love EP in 2024. Hanlon is behind the board for The Beat Goes On, recorded at Musicol and Secret Studio in Columbus, showcasing a bigger, bolder dynamic that captured the band’s live energy to tape. The album was then mixed by Drew Vandenberg at Chase Park Transductions in Athens, Georgia.

The Frank and Walters’ Paul Linehan is one of Ireland’s most talented and inspirational singer / songwriters.
The band originally became world famous on the ‘90s indie scene and have produced seven studio albums. Paul has lost none of his talent or motivation to produce fantastically crafted and catchy indie songs and continues to write new material to this day. The band also achieved a life-long ambition when they played with a full orchestra at the Cork Opera House.
Recently the band captured a whole new audience when their ‘90’s hit single ‘After All’ featured on the cult comedy show ‘The Young Offenders’ (the infamous ‘Billy Murphy’ bus hijack scene). And as well as being able to recall stories of Radiohead and Suede supporting the Frank and Walters on early tours, their recent single featured Peaky Blinders Cillian Murphy doing a voiceover on the track ‘Stages’.

Renny Conti is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from the San Francisco Bay Area. With influences including Will Oldham and Harvest-era Neil Young, a sense of play colors Renny’s music—bridging the gap between the experimental and the organic. Renny’s 2025 self-titled album is rich with attentive lyrics about love, grief, and nature, coupled with tangly guitar melodies and rewarding dissonance that explores tension through its release. Charlie Bennett is a 24-year-old bedroom-pop artist from Birmingham. Inspired by Dayglow and Beabadoobee, he started releasing music in late 2020, having taught himself to record and produce from his bedroom during lockdown. A self-declared “bedroom pop artist”, Bennett was drawn to the genre’s creativity-first ethos: making music with whatever gear you have. This DIY stance proved itself in his breakout track “Is This Falling?” in September 2020. With 6 million streams and counting, it was recorded using a £20 microphone and an iPhone. Its success gave Bennett the confidence to double down on his musical instincts, releasing his debut EP “Duvet Days”, which was aptly named after using his bedding to soundproof his room whilst recording. Charlie Bennett has built a community of over 500,000 dedicated followers, nicknamed his “Strawbennetts”, who’ve helped stream Charlie’s music over 12.5 million times to date. He’s landed playlist spots on Spotify’s “Our Generation”, supported Will Joseph Cook’s recent UK tour, a slot at Reading Festival, plays on 6 Music, BBC Introducing and KCRW, and the attention of major label bosses, one of whom Bennett remembers chatting to on Zoom whilst folding his socks. Given what they continue to achieve from a student bedroom, it is clear this DIY champ is one to watch.

Mallavora are a multi-faceted quartet from Bristol, UK. Their sound blends prog-tinged alt.metal with vocalist Jessica Douek’s Jewish-Middle Eastern roots to create an intoxicatingly crushing mix that sits firmly in its complexity.

Guitarist Larry Sobieraj distills his experience of chronic illness into urgent, expansive instrumentals that are completed by bassist Ellis James and drummer Sam Brownlow. That feeling is then translated through Jessica Douek’s vocal performance, which moves fluidly between vulnerability and aggression. Together, they create something that feels less like performance and more like dialogue - an ongoing exchange of emotion that doesn’t always seek to be understood.

Recent achievements include festival appearances at Download, Boomtown and 2000 Trees (mainstage); Alyx Holcombe’s Track of the Week on BBC Radio 1; Spotify editorial playlisting on All New Metal, Women Of Metal, The Pit, Hard Rock; tastemaker press support from Kerrang! and Metal Hammer; and tours across the UK.

They have also appeared in less conventional places. Vocalist Jessica lent her voice as the ‘banshee’ for the BBC’s TV show ‘The Celebrity Traitors’, and their single “Smile” was the soundtrack for a runway show at London Fashion Week.

Imagine this: you’re standing at the train tracks and a freight train loaded with a bunch of cheeky  daredevils comes at you full throttle. Someone’s half hanging out the open carriage, reaching out  an arm for you to hold on to - inviting you to hop on for the ride of your life.  That’s what it feels like to be thrown into the sonic world of PLAIINS.  

Founded during the pandemic that held the globe in a standstill by frontman Chris, the Brit and  his two German bandmates create a moving sound that’s informed by their deep love for  alternative, punk and indie. Naturally, their 2025 debut album HAPPY FACES is full of playful riffs  and dancey grooves - paired with witty lyrics that manage to talk about social issues and all-too human struggles without ever taking themselves too seriously.  

Inspiration for the trio comes from bands like Queens Of The Stone Age, IDLES, Viagra Boys and  Fontaines D.C., but also from personal life, politics and pop culture. On lead single ROW SHE  SAID, for example, singer Chris draws from his experience with the aftermath of Brexit and the  rise of right-wing, nationalist politics both in his home country, the UK, and in his adopted home  Germany. Set to the background of heavy hitting, hard riffs and driving verses, this is an example  of the more serious moments on the album. It shows a band that believes in the importance of  taking a clear stance. 

Contrasting, the playfully teasing SPORTS BAR pokes light-hearted fun at long nights watching  football games at the local pubs, a tradition that is ever-present both in the UK and Germany. The  shout-along chorus with a groove reminiscing of The Hives at their greatest puts you right there,  arm over shoulder with your best mates, shouting at the TV hung above the bar. 

PLAIINS is not a band that limits itself to any one genre or topic. Still, their sonic identity is clear  cut and recognisable. Even though they just released their debut album, they already made a  name for themselves as one of the most exciting up-and-coming bands. Not least because of  their ferocious power-washer of a live show that leaves no body unmoved, whether at their  headline shows or on tour with Press Club, LEAP or Itchy.

Hyde Park Book Club & Hapless Museum Worker present...  

The Primitives emerged from the UK independent music scene of the mid-1980s with a sound that distilled the shimmering guitar chime of The Byrds, the buzzsaw style of The Ramones and 60's girl group melodies into two-and-a-half-minute pop gems.

After topping the indie singles chart several times, their widely acclaimed first album, Lovely, made them one of the UK’s most revered alternative rock acts, while the international success of the single “Crash” saw them cross over to a mass audience. Further chart success followed, along with two more studio albums, Pure and Galore, plus extensive tours of Europe and the US, before the band called it a day in 1992.

In 2008, Mojo Magazine named The Primitives’ second single “Really Stupid” one of the top 40 greatest UK indie singles of all time.

The band were reunited in 2009 by the untimely passing of their original bass player Steve Dullaghan, reforming to play a show in his memory later that year in their hometown Coventry; their first time on stage together for 17 years. Bolstered by the success of this and of a secret show in London, they went on to tour the UK in April 2010, followed by shows in the US and Europe.

In 2011 The Primitives released the Never Kill A Secret EP through Fortuna Pop! The record featured two brand new songs and two covers of female fronted pop obscurities, the latter two being a taster for the covers album Echoes and Rhymes, released on Elefant records in 2012.

An album of new original Primitives songs entitled Spin-O-Rama was released in 2014 and was showered with lavish praise; the general opinion being that it sounded like an alternative follow-up to their classic 1988 debut album Lovely.

In 2025 Elefant Records put out the double vinyl collection Let’s Go Round Again - Second Wave Singles & Rarities 2011 - 2025, featuring new material along with all of the A sides, B sides and miscellaneous tracks that the band have released over the past 14 years.

Since reforming The Primitives have toured the UK multiple times, performed all around Europe and paid several visits to the US and Japan.

The current line-up of the band includes original members Tracy Tracy (vocals), Paul Court (guitar/vocals) and Tig Williams (drums).

Both as The Correspondents and a solo artist, Mr Bruce has achieved cult status for his live shows taking him as far as New Zealand, Australia and Chile where he played in front of audiences of over 10,000 fans, both old and new. Maniacal and balletic, his performance lands somewhere between contemporary dance and rave. 

Following a summer packed full of festival dates, Mr Bruce will venture throughout his home country for his largest ever headline tour in support of his highly anticipated debut album, OK, released on state51 on 15th May 2026.

OK is a multi-genre masterpiece produced by Angus Kemp spanning hyperpop, garage, hip hop and ambient with guest vocals from legendary musician Brian Eno, cult US rapper Homeboy Sandman and emerging UK talent HAM. Together they navigate the subjects of grief, protest and a love of the ocean with extraordinary energy, dexterity and depth.

Looking ahead to the tour this Autumn, Mr Bruce said “I have found over the years that gigs/clubs/festivals that I’ve played have gone from being about the pursuit of hedonism to something else. There’s still all the dancing and raucous energy, but there’s also space created for a little catharsis if that’s what you need. Many of the songs that I’ve made are designed for the dancefloor, but the lyrics are about processing grief and standing in defiance of systems built to oppress and divide us. For my new live show I want to make a space for collective engagement with the complexity of our volatile world along with the release of dancing and shaking it all out with a room full of people.”

Aziz Ibrahim is a Manchester-born guitarist and composer whose career cuts through some of the most iconic names in British music. From his early days with Simply Red to stepping into the shoes of John Squire in The Stone Roses, Aziz has built a reputation as a fearless and versatile musician.

A sought-after collaborator, he has worked with Ian Brown, Paul Weller, Asia, Steve Hogarth of Marillion, and Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, contributing to acclaimed recordings and electrifying live performances.

Now, 25 years after it was first recorded, his long-lost debut album Lahore to Longsight finally sees the light of day. Featuring an all-star lineup including members of The Smiths, The Stone Roses and Primal Scream, the album stands as a powerful statement of Aziz's artistry as both a guitarist and frontman.

The queer vegan shitpunks, Joe & The Shitboys, formed with the intention of calling out shitty behaviour in the conservative Faroe Islands, where the rock scene is filled with boneless homophobes and meat-eating misogynists - and continue to take their aim at general vibe killers everywhere.

The live shows are full of energy, with a barrage of songs often under a minute long, like “Save The Planet You Dumb Shit”, "Life Is Great You Suck" and “If You Believe in Eating Meat Start With Your Dog”, being broken up by the flamboyant frontman roasting the audience relentlessly.

The band (Joe, Ziggy Shit, Johnny Shit and Ollie Shit) have played every type of venue there is; roof tops, public toilets, opening ceremonies for North Atlantic sub sea tunnels, museums and skateparks, and have also appeared on their fair share of major festival line ups around Europe and North America.

Kelley Stoltz is an American songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and DIY innovator whose career stretches back to the late 1990s, when he began self-recording lush, psych-tinged pop and garage rock in his San Francisco home studio. Born in New York City in 1971, and raised in Michigan, Stoltz has released a remarkable catalog of albums on labels including Sub Pop, Third Man, and Castle Face Records often playing all of the instruments himself and drawing comparisons to the melodic craftsmanship of the major 60's pop auteurs and the quirkiness of lesser known 80's power-pop & new wave.


After issuing his 18th album, La Fleur in 2024 to critical notice, he returns in 2026 with his 19th full-length release, If You Don't Know Me, Buy Now, a collection that continues his long exploration of hook-laden psych-pop, introspective lyrics, and richly textured arrangements that both honor his influences and push his sound forward, reinforcing his status as one of the most prolific and singular voices in underground rock.   Guests Brigid Dawson of the Osees, Karina Denike of Dance Hall Crashers, Pete Straus of the Dwarves and Allyson Baker of Dirty Ghosts and other guests provide backing vocals on several tracks.

With Iguana Death Cult’s latest iteration, the band laments on personal stories of hardship and doubt whilst fixing their gaze on the burning world around them. Guitars, percussion, synths and a whole lot of soul-searching is all that Iguana Death Cult needed for their recent resurrection. As part of a personnel change the band gained a strong new line-up, including the dazzlingly virtuous drummer Uri Rennert (previously in Häxxan and Brian Jonestown Massacre). This new era of Iguana Death Cult’s existence is channeling their earlier punk and garage style while simutanously feeling unmistakeably like a product of today. It is characterised by razorsharp and highly rythmic riffing by Tobias Opschoor and the relentless drumming by Uri Rennert. By the ever-groovy and effortlessly cool percussion and synths by Jimmy de Kok and by the hefty yet heartfelt voice of frontman Jeroen Reek, guiding the listener through feelings of despair, anger and solace, in that very order. Iguana Death Cult is a band who have made quite the miles in the last decade. Started as a group of young friends in 2014 wanting to make rock ‘n roll, the band has risen to great heights including touring with Osees, Frankie and the Witchfingers, supporting Jack White, playing SXSW, Levitation Festival and Desert Daze and doing multiple successful US tours. Paul Marshall returns to the stage for a rare live performance-his first in over a decade-celebrating 20 years since the release of his debut album Vultures. Performing under his own name rather than the Lone Wolf moniker he retired in 2016, this special show will span songs from across his career, including material written as Lone Wolf.

A former Bella Union artist, Marshall earned a reputation for his atmospheric songwriting and distinctive voice, becoming a quietly influential presence in the UK's alternative scene. Over the years, he has shared stages with artists such as José González, Graham Coxon, Philip Selway, St. Vincent, Wild Beasts, and Bat for Lashes, and collaborated with the likes of Alan Wilder (Depeche Mode) and Linton Kwesi Johnson.

Support comes from fellow Leeds musician Fran Rodgers.
Blending delicate melodies with lyrical depth and an incredible voice, she brings a compelling presence that makes her a fitting addition to the evening.

Modern Woman, the London art-rock outfit fronted by primary songwriter Sophie Harris, are set to release their anticipated debut album ‘Johnny’s Dreamworld’ on May 1st 2026 via their new label One Little Independent Records. ‘Johnny’s Dreamworld’ represents the culmination of Modern Woman’s journey from Harris’s early, intimate songwriting project into a full-bodied band capable of folding post-punk, avant-garde, and folk traditions into a live force of dynamic originality. At its heart, the record explores the strange poetry buried within the ordinary. Harris’s lyrics, steeped in literary detail and filmic atmosphere, draw from a fascination with the dark underbelly of the everyday and the contradictions of womanhood.

Harris explains, “A vital theme I’ve always wanted in Modern Woman is the idea of conflicting things, of the tender/harsh, loud/quiet and scrappy/polished. The style of everybody’s playing, drawing from a melting pot of influences, coming together to form something new.”

Modern Woman’s sound emerged from years of creative refinement. The band coalesced when Harris met violinist and composer David Denyer, who brought a background in experimental composition and textural sound work. Joined by Juan Brint-Gutiérrez on bass and saxophone and Adam Blackhurst on drums, the group forged a style that values the contrasting harsh edges of folk lyricism and noise that collides with melody. Working with producer Joel Burton (Naima Bock, Katy J Pearson, Vanishing Twin), they found a live immediacy that channels the raw intensity of their performances into a sound that is both rich and unpredictable.

Three years since their last show, life has quietly reshaped everything. Two solo records released into the world, new bands formed, old rhythms broken, and a magnetic pull back toward each other that couldn't be ignored - Penny Isles' sound remains unmistakable-fuzz-drenched, melody-rich, and charged with feeling. Now expanded into a true three-piece with drummer Joe Taylor, Penelope Isles sound bigger, looser, and more alive than ever. Waves Crashing are a Seattle-based band known for their unique blend of grunge, gaze, dream pop, alt, and shoegaze. Pinpointing the specific catalyst for an avalanche can be slippery — any combination of classic elements, human interference, or freak accident can trigger disaster — and documenting these precise moments often rests on serendipitous reflexes. On Two Wheels Move the Soul, Robber Robber offer themselves as ignition and capture every sound in the wake. Involuntarily thrust into the throws of rootless nomadism, Robber Robber ringleader Nina Cates collects a series of pressurized vignettes to assemble the Burlington quartet’s thrillingly explosive sophomore album.

Two Wheels Move the Soul was written and recorded throughout the winter of 2024 and 2025, a season of Cates’ life characterized by near-constant upheaval. In January of 2025, Cates (and Robber Robber co-founder) Zack James were displaced from their longtime home at the behest of a landlord’s call to have their building demolished. In a moment’s notice — and amidst a particularly brutal Vermont winter — Cates and James were left to fend for themselves. Luckily, the two were able to tap a deep well of support within their community, finding respite on the couches of Lily Seabird, Greg Freeman, and Thus Love’s Echo Mars. An unused attic provided their longest arrangement.

The personal and economic chaos of living at the mercy of nameless powers-that-be redirected into a hyperfocused attention on Two Wheels Move the Soul. Returning to Little Jamaica Studios — one of the sites for their acclaimed debut Wild Guess — Cates, James, guitarist Will Krulak and bassist Carney Hemler hunkered down with their trusted engineer Benny Yurco. The familiarity between the cast of characters allowed the studio to become a sanctuary, and foregrounded Two Wheels Move The Soul’s constant foray into sonically adventurous terrain. “Everywhere else that we had to be, we were very much visitors,” James recalls. “When we were working on the record, it was nice because it felt like this is our space.” Still, an overwhelming sense of impending doom hangs over Two Wheels Move the Soul. Every scribble on the guitar thins the air, each stab of percussion and wave of distortion makes it that much harder to breathe.

On Two Wheels Move the Soul, landslides come early and the news of their arrival is just as chilly. Propelled by Cates’ nonchalant bars — inspired by the effortlessly-cool cadence of Gucci Mane and Lou Reed — Two Wheels Move the Soul saunters in and out of frame with the implicit assurance that any gaze will follow. Album opener and lead single “The Sound It Made” rattles into existence, eschewing exposition to plunge directly in the deep end. The polarized extremities of Robber Robber’s sonic palette fuse throughout Two Wheels Move the Soul, spanning post-punk scorchers, burnt-out slacker anthems, and melodies that sweeten the bitter pills stomached along the way. “Yes I know, gotta work for my pay,” Cates exhales on standout “New Year’s Eve,” a swaggering depiction of life’s myriad impediments. “I’m tired, so is everyone - how can I complain?” Cates wastes no time indulging in the miseries of late-stage capitalism, opting instead to resolve casual disappointment with a cool composure. “What more is there to do?,” Cates asks on “Pieces,” the slow-burning b-side intro that plainly lays out what happens when your life falls apart: “you’ll end up with a piece.”

Working through the discomfort of class, upheaval, and catastrophe is a central philosophy on Two Wheels Move the Soul. “You can leave it, but it follows you home,” Cates buries beneath incendiary bursts on “It’s Perfect Out Here in the Sun.” Easy to miss, it is a possible catalyst nonetheless. In the midst of the avalanche itself, the sparks ignited throughout Two Wheels Move the Soul fall by the wayside, and all that’s left is the wreck. “Upend, upend,” Cates intones atop kinetic and relentless instrumentation. Then the pressure cracks again. “So we dance.”

The Rabbitts craft music that blurs the lines between folk, alternative, and atmospheric pop. The Norwich-based band began 2026 with an immersive and isolated creative retreat in the mountains. They now have a new album set for release on November 13th 2026. This show is part of their UK album release tour, where songs from the new album will be performed for the first time alongside a few old favourites. This tour follows on from their 2025 tour which sold out multiple shows around the UK, and the release of their record ‘Orbital Collection'. The Rabbitts are an ever-evolving group who are constantly creating and rarely staying still.
