FREE, just turn up
We’re emerging from winter hibernation with a screening that once again brings film and live music together.
Join us for Entr’acte (1924), a silent French short film directed by René Clair and widely regarded as a manifesto of Dada cinema. Playful, absurd, and defiantly anti-narrative, Entr’acte remains a landmark of early avant-garde film.
As the original score was composed by Erik Satie, the evening will be introduced by pianist and composer Joe Sinha Semple, who will perform a short set of Satie-esque piano compositions before the screening.
