Featuring bands across Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham - we're so grateful to be collaborating with Eszter Vida, PICT, Yasmin Coe and Angelina.
Eszter Vida is the indie/dream-pop project of the Leeds-based singer-songwriter, known for her evocative storytelling behind her bedroom-pop confessions. Together with bassist/co-songwriter Lola Wainwright, guitarist Ben Whiteley, drummer/producer Evan Martin and James Bromley on keys, they’ve woven a sonic landscape that’s both intimate and expansive, heart-wrenching yet warm, cherry-picking the yearning and nostalgia of late 80s new wave/early 90s indie-dream pop bands like The Cure, Wolf Alice and The Cranberries.
PICT are a Nottingham-based post-folk collective. With a captivating debut EP, 2-Day residency at The Grove in their home city and a Westside Cowboy support under their belt, we are beyond excited to welcome them to Leeds and have them bring their infectious energy to the stage.
Yasmin Coe is a Hull-born/Manchester-based artist who channels her uniquely coined “girl power pop” within every inch of her music. Previously supporting Picture Parlour on their Brudenell headline, we are grateful to have her join us with her shoegaze-infused indie pop sound that soundtracks her intimate confessions and experiences.
Angelina is a modern jazz singer based in Leeds. A recent University of Leeds graduate, she returns to Hyde Park Book Club after previously supporting Eszter Vida for a sold-out basement show. We are pleased to hear her mesmerising voice take to the stage once again, carrying a palpable intensity and vulnerability that the greats before her carried.
