The Anemone Quartet is a new quartet formed by double bassist Olie Brice and pianist Laura Cole, alongside drummer Johnny Hunter and clarinettist/saxophonist Faye MacCalman. The impetus behind the quartet is a collaborative combination of compositions/compositional approaches -with each player invited to bring pieces/ideas for the quartet to explore- as well as free playing, poetry and spoken word.
