Four mates from Yorkshire, The Slates are a young, energetic indie band who are passionate about writing anthems and partying hard. The Slates formed in summer 2019 with front man Louis Barnes, guitarist Joe Briggs, bassist Jude Wales and drummer Zak Oldroyd. 

The band have succeeded to have plays on the BBC, series’ on Channel 4, played at YNOT Festival 2022, Isle Of Wight Festival 2023, Manchester Academy 1 and have played multiple times at the O2 Academy Leeds. The Slates released their debut EP ‘u wot?’, including summer anthems, ‘Hello, Don't You Know?’ and ‘Shield Your Drink’ in the back end of 2022 as well as their 2023 hit ‘What Have You Done?’ which gained them shows in iconic venues across the nation.
