NHPNA (North Hyde Park Neighbourhood Association) brings you… Headingley Hill Winter Lantern Festival. As the January nights draw in, bring some light and warmth to our community with two FREE special events:

Make Your Own Lantern - Saturday 17th January 1- 5 pm. Join us at St Augustine’s Wrangthorn Church (Hyde Park Corner) for a relaxed afternoon of lantern making. We’ll provide all the materials you’ll need, along with light refreshments and good company. Perfect for creating something beautiful whilst catching up with neighbours over a cuppa. Places are limited, so try to arrive early to make sure you can take part.

Community Lantern Walk - Sunday 25th January 4:30-7 pm Meet us in Dagmar Wood for a warming cup of Chai or Hot Chocolate before we set off on our magical lantern walk. We’ll wind our way through the local ginnels, creating a river of light through our neighbourhood. The walk will finish at Hyde Park Book Club, where we can continue the evening together.

Don’t worry if you haven’t made a lantern - everyone’s welcome to join the walk and enjoy the spectacle! It’s all about coming together as a community, having a laugh, and brightening up these winter evenings.
