Colour of Light

Colour of Light are a five piece who sing and play guitar, banjo, ukulele, double bass and harmonica. Singer Paul Naylor started on the Manchester Indie scene but has since branched in all kinds of directions (check out his underground electro swing collaboration “This Is For Everyone” with Jamie Berry). Vocalist and harmony ace Emily Levy is a respected composer, with a string of commissions for Radio and classical artists to her name. Aidy Knowles is a much sought after bass-playing powerhouse who’s played in countless Jazz projects, including for Alan Barnes. Jonny Flockton is the guitarist in the Glastonbury stalwarts Mik Artistiks Ego Trip, whose playing was recently described by Iggy Pop as “talented and sensitive”. Blues harp champ Jon Burr has done time on the blues circuit for nearly thirty years, and plays every year in the Establishment Club House Band at Latitude Festival.

They play original songs about heartbreak, history, protest and dreams with soaring harmonies and blues-soaked harmonica, loaded with folk and country influences. Currently recording their first album, this is a band brimming with experience and energy, ready to take you up into their world.
