Samsara Soundscapes

We are proud to present a film screening of ‘Samsara’. Voted the world’s most beautiful film by Cinefix.

At the heart of Leeds creative scene, we will be hosting a celebration of iconic filmmaking, fused with a live soundtrack providing the soundscapes to create a unique and mesmerising experience.
Set in a mega cosy atmosphere of bean bags, fairy lights and FREE popcorn, it's bound to be magical.

With music from:
J Frisco
J Frisco is a trio of soprano saxophone, electric guitar, keyboards and vocals; they create improvised music and soundscapes that are drawn from their emotions, the world, political and gender issues. They aim to engage and inspire their audience through the use of multiple genres and cross art forms, taking their listeners on a journey, often described as the ‘J Frisco Experience’. They have been selected as ‘Jazz North’s introducing artist 2017’, are on Lancaster Jazz Festival’s artist development programme and have received funding from Help Musicians UK to promote females in the improvised/jazz scene.
Recently they have played live on Chapel Fm radio station, supported Matthew Bourne, Edgar Jones, Roller Trio and Elliott Galvin. They thrive on challenging both their own and their audiences perceptions, pushing each performance to new levels.

Sourpuss
With influences from atmospheric jungle of the 90s, DJ and producer, sourpuss creates deep, atmospheric tracks that blend percussive breaks with deep pads and chords to create music that is as reflective as it is progressive. His debut single released last summer received appraisal from the jungle scene with support from artists such as Om Unit and Dexta. Sourpuss will be digging deep in his record collection and showing his influences to accompany the film with a meditative set of krautrock, balearic, ambient and down tempo music.

Brian Ino
“A master of soundscapes and deep emotional connection.”
Electronic DJ and soundscape artist bringing a unique fusion of niche internet genres such as Vaporwave and Seapunk, and from great ambient artists such as Brian Eno and Aphex Twin. Born from an obsession with aesthetics, Brian Ino is a branch of the SaNTINO project performed by SaNTINO himself.
