For Overture's next instalment they welcome three of our favourite locals, each with diverse yet distinct musical leanings.

First up we have discerning selector and all round top bloke Alex Brown. Alex forms one half of Adventures In Daydreams, with past residencies at Selective Hearing and the 212, and releases on Tact Recordings, 2020 Vision and Sulk Magic (later in 2017). We can’t wait to hear what he brings out the bag.

Chris I’Anson is the man behind Slipstone Records and co-founder of On Rotation. He’s helped curate some stellar parties in recent years, with a monthly Thursday spot at the 212 and a number of special events at handpicked spaces in Leeds. All roads lead to Blueberry Hill Studios on 24th March where they’ll be welcoming Lena Willikens for her Leeds debut. If there’s a name you can rely on for delivering quality on all fronts, it’s our lad Chris.

Ranyue Zhang has made quite the impact since touching down in Leeds in 2014. Hailing from Yulin in China, she consistently brings the party to Plato’s Disco and Brudenell Groove. Whether she’s serving disco delicacies at Hifi or firing up the UKG in Wire, Ranyue has a compelling style of play that’ll keep you dancing with an endless smile.
