Brazilian Wax presents 'Viagem': Beyond Brazil's Borders

In these bleak times of back-and-forth Brexiting, Brazilian Wax believes in connecting countries and going beyond Brazil’s beach-lined and jungle-fringed borders. That’s why, for our next party, we’re very excited to be bringing through some close friends of ours to spin sounds from the world over, putting the music of Brazil in a more global setting.

Opening the night will be no other than Frito&Hermano, dishing up a polychrome concoction of old-skool funk, soul and disco. Having been cutting their teeth to sold-out crowds alongside, soul sistas and funk soul bruthas, 0800 Disco, they’ve started throwing their own Cool Beans parties, serving up healthy pulses aplenty and, in their own words, “letting it all hang out”.

Joining them will be our headliner Eruchie, Paywall co-founder and KMAH/Social Radio regular. With Eruchie’s eclectic taste (stretching from the depths of electro and techno to afrobeat and the Nigerian music of his family heritage) expect some big and bad sounds to grace the Book Club basement.

As always, we’ll be serving hot and sizzling samba, Afro-Brazilian, Soul, Disco and modern Brazilian electronics in a celebration of all things Brazil.
