Led by drummer Chris Bowie, Unit 7 are a roaring hard-bop ensemble playing the music of Cannonball Adderley and his contemporaries as well as original compositions and arrangements inspired by the era. The band will feature some of Leeds' finest young talent with Alex FIsher and Daniel Brunskill on saxophones, Dan Coulthurst on trumpet and a rhythm section of Nico Widdowson and Sam Jackson. The band will be joined by rising star vocalist Nel Begley to perform music from the celebrated 1962 album Nancy Wilson/Cannonball Adderley.
