An invitation to an ideas workshop to explore ‘common ground’

We know ‘business-as-usual’ ways of working are broken. We need to change course. There is a huge range of people in Leeds thinking along these lines, and bringing in exciting ideas from the edges of their practice. We are inviting you and other creative doers, makers and innovators in Leeds to this explore together.

There is a European Horizon2020 funding call out now which might help us on our journey. We don’t have all the answers but we want to commit to making something happen in Leeds over the next year. If this sounds interesting and you have time and energy to contribute, then let’s start linking ideas and projects.

We will be running a series of open discussion workshops to sketch out what this programme could look and feel like for you, your networks and communities, and the city.  The keynote question is 'what might a model for Leeds look like that embraces and kick-starts new forms of making and doing’; please see the graphic below as a starting point for possible themes and opportunities.

The workshops will be held during the afternoon, early evening and evening of the 11 July, so please RSVP to suit your availability using the Eventbrite url.

Workshops are at:

* 3.30-4.45pm     Please register at https://commongroundleeds_0.eventbrite.co.uk
* 5.15-6.30pm      Please register at https://commongroundleeds_1.eventbrite.co.uk
* 6.45-8.00pm     Please register at https://commongroundleeds_2.eventbrite.co.uk

Light refreshments will be available.  Hyde Park Book Club has disabled access. There is limited parking in front of the venue.

Hoping that you can join us on the 11th,
