CPWM x Paramount Music [Leeds International Festival]

Paramount Music is taking over Come Play With Me’s monthly showcase event at the Hyde Park Book Club, bringing four of the amazing artists that they work closely with to this brilliant little venue: Tamara, Dave O, Weezy Jefferson, and finally, Graft.

Tamara

Tamara is a singer-songwriter with her own unique sound; a spin on pop, merged with R’n’B and hip hop, with reggae influences.

Tamara has recently been performing right around the region, including in venues such as The Warehouse and Leeds 2023s The Big Send Off, and 2018 sees her anticipating the release of her debut album.

Dave O

Dave-O is a rap artist, songwriter and producer, who has opened for the likes of Wretch 32, Wiley, P-Money and Nadia Rose, to name but a few. He is the face of the Leeds 2023 European Capital of Culture bid, and he also represented the UK artists on the red carpet at the 2017 MOBO Awards, held at the Leeds First Direct Arena.

Following the successful release of his single “Yeah Yeah”, which debuted on “The 8th”( a rap from Radio 1s Charlie Sloth), Dave-O is set to release a host of singles and projects this year. New smash hit “Vibe” (a collaboration alongside fellow Leeds natives Dialect) has debuted already, and “It’s Peak” featured on BBC 1xtra DJ Target’s show, as his Unsigned Act of the Week in December 2017.

Weezy Jefferson

Versatile Weezy Jefferson roots in hip hop, but summons cross-genre sounds.

He has supported internationally renowned artists such as KRS-One, Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def), People Under The Stairs, The Jungle Brothers and Big Narstie, to name but a few.

Weezy Jefferson has recently released two singles in 2018, available on YouTube – ‘Bait Moves’ and ‘Infinity Gem’.

And headlining: Graft

A hip hop and grime artist hailing from Leeds, Grime has racked up thousands of Youtube hits on Link UP TV, thanks to his successful debut EP “Allsorts”. The single from this EP similarly made its debut on Charlie Sloth’s  “The 8th” in 2017, and he has also been featured on Yasser’s show on BBC Radio 1.

Since then Graft has released another EP in 2018 called “5 Roses”, which has again been a huge success.
