This month we're holding a special film screening of animated film
Sita Sings the Blues, in association with the Hyde Park Book Club. At this event we will go over some of the basics of organising, marketing and putting on a film screening.
Sita Sings the Blues is a 2008 animated film written, directed, produced and animated by American artist Nina Paley. In the 82 minute long film, 1920's jazz vocals of Annette Hanshaw are juxtaposed with a retelling of the classic Indian myth the Ramayana.
Sita Sings the Blues is, unusually, a Public Domain film and in line with their "endorsed screening" policy, we will be collecting a small voluntary donation from you to send to Nina.
