"Music is music, ultimately. If it makes you feel good, cool."
If you didn't have such a good time on Valentine's day, this is your hungover cure. Perhaps some mellow soul-jazz from the amazing Jemma Freese Triois what you need to get over your heart break. Or perhaps someone who can formulate just how sad you are in the most accuracte way will comfort you in these hard times? If so, folk singer/poet Esme Bridie Music could settle your aches. If, however, you're like me and you like to pretend it's summer and you're not stuck in cold England, you might have a go at Martinus, which music is happy, fun and quirky. That is, if you ignore the lyrics, which I'm sure is easy because this guy's Norwegian!
No matter your situation, this is the best place to be on a Wednesday in February. Come and have something warm to drink, a nice chat with the lovely staffers at the DIY-inspired café that is Hyde Park Book Club, or have yourself a beer and enjoy the music. Either way - you're welcome.
