An Evening Of Psychedelia With Dr Peter Grant

Dr Peter Grant will be calling in to Hyde Park Book Club to give a talk on the history of British Psychedelia and how it ties into Pagan art.

Dr Peter Grant is Senior Fellow in Grantmaking, Philanthropy and Social Investment at Cass Business School, City University, London. After working in the arts, film and sport he was Director of Operations for the Big Lottery Fund and then developed the world’s first Masters programme in social funding. His publications include books on philanthropy, the First World War and popular culture. His next book will be National Myth and the First World War in Modern Popular Music from Palgrave Macmillan. Peter is a trustee of the DHL Foundation and of the Amy Winehouse Foundation and former Chair of the Voluntary Action History Society.

There will also be DJ sets from Leeds' finest Psychedelic troubadors THE DOUBLE HIP CLUB John-Paul Craven & Marko Afro. Some of Leeds finest musicians also holing a Pyschedelic jam session.
